HARRISBURG (WSKG) -- Snow has stopped falling for the most part, and roads have re-opened across Pennsylvania. But, it looks as though state lawmakers may take a little more time to get up and running again. Committee meetings remain cancelled for the rest of the week.
This was supposed to be a busy week for the House.
The chamber had well over a dozen committee meetings scheduled to vote on various bills.
But, those are all on hold-House spokesman Stephen Miskin says, indefinitely.
He says he's not particularly worried that this holdup will put lawmakers at a disadvantage in getting legislation passed.
The Senate didn't have any committee meetings scheduled this week.
Both chambers should be back in action by next Monday, when there's a joint hearing on the federal Every Student Succeeds Act.
