Tracy Helton Mitchell is a recovering heroin addict. She’s also the author of the book The Big Fix: Hope After Heroin and has been featured in the New York Times and on Fresh Air

WSKG's Crystal Sarakas talked to Helton Mitchell about her path through addiction and recovery. They talked about how she got started using heroin, why she doesn't believe in the concept of "hitting bottom," and about the perils of giving advice to someone in recovery.
